Biography
Christopher Benstead is a British film composer, arranger and former re-recording mixer. He studied music and sound recording at the University of Surrey, graduating in 2004.
He has collaborated extensively with director Guy Ritchie. Benstead composed the score for the 2019 film The Gentlemen and its 2024 Netflix series follow-up, as well as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare (2024), Guy Ritchie's The Covenant (2023), Wrath of Man (2021) and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre (2023). Earlier credits include additional music and arrangements for Aladdin (2019) and Beauty and the Beast (2017), and music editing on films such as Gravity (2013), Thor (2011) and Cinderella (2015).
Benstead won an Academy Award and a BAFTA for sound mixing on Gravity (2013).
