Biography
Hossain Farazmand is an Iranian actor and journalist, also credited as Hassan Farazmand or حسن فرازمند. He is best known for portraying the reporter in Abbas Kiarostami's Close-Up (1990), in which he appears as himself.
Farazmand had written the article "Bogus Makhmalbaf Arrested" for the Iranian magazine Sorush in 1989, which brought the real-life events depicted in the film to public attention. He also appeared in the 1988 film The Flower.
