Biography

Joe I. Tompkins is an American costume designer. He studied at the University of Texas Department of Theatre and Dance.

Tompkins has worked on numerous films, including Howard the Duck (1986), Harlem Nights (1989), Species (1995) and Dance with Me (1998). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Costume Design for Cross Creek (1983) and Harlem Nights (1989).
