Biography

Jordan Horowitz is an American film producer. He is best known for producing the 2016 musical La La Land, directed by Damien Chazelle and starring Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, which received 14 Academy Award nominations and won six, including Best Director and Best Actress. At the 89th Academy Awards, Horowitz was the producer who corrected the erroneous announcement that La La Land had won Best Picture, instead presenting the award to the team behind Moonlight.

Horowitz graduated from Northwestern University in 2002. His other producing credits include The Kids Are All Right (2010), Are You Here (2013), The Keeping Room (2014), Miss Stevens (2016) and Fast Color (2018), the last two of which he co-wrote with his wife, writer and director Julia Hart. The couple co-founded the production company Original Headquarters. He has also served as an executive producer on the series Counterpart (2017) and the film Stargirl (2020).
