Biography
Tony Wohlgemuth is a Canadian production designer and art director. He began his career in the art department and makeup effects, working as a leadman on Lake Placid (1999) and contributing to films including Shanghai Noon (2000). He later took on art direction roles on features such as Final Destination 3 (2006), Trick 'r Treat (2007) and The X-Files: I Want to Believe (2008).
Wohlgemuth has served as production designer or co-production designer on several television series. These include Bates Motel (2013–2017), Riverdale (2017–2019), Home Before Dark (2021) and Dead Boy Detectives (2024). He is credited as production designer on the upcoming series Carrie (2026) and The Sticks (2026). He has received Leo Awards for production design on dramatic series and a Primetime Emmy nomination for makeup.
