Biography
Alec Newman is a Scottish actor. Born in Glasgow on 27 November 1974, he trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
He is known for playing Paul Atreides in the 2000 miniseries Dune. Other television credits include Joseph Wemyss in Outlander (2014), King Aethelred in The Last Kingdom (2015) and Nick in Hijack (2023). He appeared as Taggert in the 2026 film The Weight.
