Biography
Anton Furst was an English production designer. Born Anthony Francis Furst in London on 6 May 1944, he trained at the Royal College of Art.
He worked on The Company of Wolves (1984), Full Metal Jacket (1987), High Spirits (1988) and Batman (1989), for which he shared the Academy Award for Best Art Direction. His final credited film was Awakenings (1990). He also designed the Planet Hollywood restaurant in New York.
Furst died on 24 November 1991 in Hollywood, California.
