Biography
David Motion is a British composer and music arranger. He is credited as composer on the 1992 film Orlando, directed by Sally Potter, where he worked closely with the director to develop the score from her melodies and motifs, arranging them for a small ensemble including strings, woodwinds and guitar.
Motion has composed for British television, including the series Cardiac Arrest (1994–1995) and episodes of Trial & Retribution (2004). Earlier in his career he contributed to film soundtracks and worked as a producer and engineer on recordings by artists such as Wang Chung and Strawberry Switchblade.
