Biography

DeJuan Guy is an American actor. Born in Dayton, Ohio, in 1981, he moved to Los Angeles as a child and trained at Marla Gibbs' Crossroads Theater Academy. Director John Singleton discovered him there during a performance of A Raisin in the Sun and cast him in an early audition for Boyz n the Hood, though the studio deemed him too young for the lead role.

Guy's first major film role was as Jake in the 1992 horror film Candyman. He later appeared in Little Giants (1994) and reunited with Singleton for the role of Looney Toon in Baby Boy (2001). His television credits include guest appearances in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (1990), Boy Meets World (1993) as Ellis, Beverly Hills, 90210 (1990), and a recurring role in Boston Public (2000) as J.T. He was a series regular in the short-lived sitcom Rewind (1997). Guy attended the West Angeles Christian Academy and graduated from the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts; he also studied audio engineering at the SAE Institute.
