Biography
Gavin Emerson is a British film producer. He trained in production at the Royal College of Art and has produced short films, documentaries and commercials. He founded Holy Cow Productions, a commercial photography company.
Emerson first collaborated with director Lynne Ramsay after meeting her at the National Film and Television School graduation screenings in 1996. He produced her short films Kill the Day (1996) and Gasman (1998), and her feature debut Ratcatcher (1999). He later served as co-producer on The Backwoods (2006).
He received BAFTA nominations for his work on Ratcatcher, including for Outstanding British Film.
