Biography
John Myhre is an American production designer. He has worked in Hollywood since the late 1980s and received his first Academy Award nomination for Best Art Direction for Elizabeth (1998).
Myhre frequently collaborates with director Rob Marshall. Their joint credits include Chicago (2002) and Memoirs of a Geisha (2005), both of which won him the Academy Award for Best Art Direction, as well as Nine (2009), Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011) and Mary Poppins Returns (2018). Other production design credits include X-Men (2000), Wanted (2008), X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014), The Great Wall (2016) and The Little Mermaid (2023).
