Biography
John Paul Jones (born John Baldwin) is an English musician, composer and record producer, best known as the bassist and keyboardist for the rock band Led Zeppelin from 1968 to 1980.
Before joining Led Zeppelin, he worked as a session musician and arranger. After the band's dissolution following the death of drummer John Bonham in 1980, Jones pursued a solo career and collaborated across genres, including with the supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1995 as a member of Led Zeppelin.
He appears as himself in the 2025 documentary Becoming Led Zeppelin, the first biographical film on the band made with the participation of the surviving members.
