Biography
Mitchell Travers is an American costume designer. He holds dual BFA degrees in Costume Design and Puppetry from the University of Connecticut. He spent ten years working as an assistant or associate costume designer on projects including Ocean's Eight (2018), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014), The Bourne Legacy (2012), Joy (2015), The Blacklist and Saturday Night Live.
Travers's first major credit as costume designer was on Bo Burnham's Eighth Grade (2018). Subsequent work includes Hustlers (2019), for which he received a Costume Designers Guild Award nomination, Late Night (2019), In the Heights (2021), The Eyes of Tammy Faye (2021) and the limited series George & Tammy (2022–2023), for which he earned a Primetime Emmy nomination. He has also designed costumes for the series Home Before Dark (2020) and the 2026 Netflix adaptation of Little House on the Prairie.
