Biography
Rob Cowan is a film producer. He graduated from the University of British Columbia's Film and Television program in 1980 and began his career as an assistant director in Canada on films including Three Men and a Baby (1987), Stakeout (1987) and Cocktail (1988).
He later worked with producer Irwin Winkler and served as president of Winkler Films, producing titles such as The Net (1995), Life as a House (2001) and De-Lovely (2004). In 2006 he began producing independently.
Cowan has collaborated extensively with director James Wan on The Conjuring (2013), The Conjuring 2 (2016), Aquaman (2018) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). He has also worked on San Andreas (2015) and several films starring Melissa McCarthy.
