Biography
Ruth Myers is a British costume designer born in 1940 in Manchester, England. She trained at St Martin's School of Art in London and began her career in theatre, working at the Royal Court Theatre and in repertory before moving into film in the late 1960s.
She has designed costumes for numerous films, including The Addams Family (1991), L.A. Confidential (1997) and Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024). Other credits include Emma (1996), The Golden Compass (2007) and The Legend of Tarzan (2016). Myers received Academy Award nominations for The Addams Family and Emma, an Emmy Award for the series Carnivàle, and the Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award in 2008. She was previously married to production designer Richard Macdonald.
