Biography
Ted Elliott is an American screenwriter and film producer. He has frequently collaborated with writing partner Terry Rossio.
Their credits include the screenplay for Aladdin (1992), Shrek (2001), The Mask of Zorro (1998) and the first four Pirates of the Caribbean films (2003–2011). Elliott began his career with the screenplay for Little Monsters (1989).
He served on the board of directors of the Writers Guild of America from 2004 to 2006 and stood as a candidate for president of the Writers Guild of America, West in 2005. With Rossio he co-founded the screenwriting website Wordplayer.com; with Craig Mazin he runs The Artful Writer.
