Biography
Benjamín Fernández is a Spanish production designer and art director. Born in Madrid, he began his career in the film industry as a draftsman before advancing to art direction and production design roles on international productions.
He is credited as production designer on True Romance (1993). Other notable credits include production design on The Others (2001), Man on Fire (2004) and The Sea Inside (2004), and supervising art director on Gladiator (2000). He has also worked on films including Alien (1979), Dune (1984), Conan the Barbarian (1982) and Enemy of the State (1998).
Fernández has received multiple Goya Awards for production design, including for The Others (2001) and Captain Alatriste: The Spanish Musketeer (2006).
