Biography
James Lyons was an American film editor, screenwriter and actor. He frequently collaborated with director Todd Haynes, editing Poison (1991), Safe (1995), Velvet Goldmine (1998) and Far from Heaven (2002). He also received a story credit on Velvet Goldmine.
Lyons edited Sofia Coppola’s The Virgin Suicides (2000) and other features including Prozac Nation (2003) and Imaginary Heroes (2004). He appeared in small acting roles in films such as Poison, Postcards from America (1994) and I Shot Andy Warhol (1996).
Born in New York on 8 October 1960, Lyons died in Manhattan on 12 April 2007.
