Biography

Norman Garwood (8 January 1946 – 13 April 2019) was an English production designer and art director. He was born in Birmingham, England.

Garwood worked as production designer on films including Time Bandits (1981), Brazil (1985), The Princess Bride (1987), Glory (1989), Misery (1990), Hook (1991), Lost in Space (1998) and Entrapment (1999). He received Academy Award nominations for Best Art Direction for Brazil, Glory and Hook. He won a BAFTA Award for Best Production Design and an Evening Standard British Film Award for Brazil.
