Biography
Veronika Jenet is an Australian film editor. She began working in the industry in the 1980s after moving to Australia from Germany, where she had trained as a civil engineer. Early credits include sound editing and editing on short films and features by Jane Campion, under the name Veronika Haussler or Häussler.
Jenet has maintained a long collaboration with Campion, editing Sweetie (1989), An Angel at My Table (1990), The Piano (1993), The Portrait of a Lady (1996) and Holy Smoke (1999). She received an Academy Award nomination for best film editing for The Piano, along with BAFTA and American Cinema Editors nominations. Other notable credits include Rabbit-Proof Fence (2002), Snowtown (2011) and Lore (2012).
She is a member of the Australian Screen Editors guild and has won multiple Australian Film Institute and Inside Film awards for her editing work.
