Biography
Sharon Calahan is an American cinematographer best known for her work at Pixar Animation Studios. She joined the studio in 1994 and served as director of photography on A Bug's Life (1998), Toy Story 2 (1999) and Finding Nemo (2003). She later contributed as lighting director or director of photography on Ratatouille (2007), Cars 2 (2011), The Good Dinosaur (2015) and Onward (2020).
Calahan studied illustration, graphic design and photography at Spokane Falls Community College. She previously worked in broadcast television and at Pacific Data Images before moving into computer animation. In 2014 she became the first member of the American Society of Cinematographers admitted solely on the basis of a career in animated film.
